Aus der Tiefe ruf ich, BWV 745
[2:11]
by Johann Sebastian Bach
The text is probably based on Psalm 130, and the
tune is often sung during Lent as "Forty days and
forty nights." A full harmonization of the chorale
(Manuael Principael 8' + Octav 4' +
Super Octav 2', Borstpositiff
Floit 4' coupled to Pedael Bardon 16' +
Octav 8') precedes an arpeggiated and
syncopated accompaniment (BP Gedackt 8' +
Floit 4' + Octav 2' coupled to PD) to
the relatively unadorned chorale sounded on the
MN, to which has been added Sexquialter 2 St.
Temperament Organ-Silbermann.
