Jan Køtitel Kuchaø
(1751-1829)

Jan Køtitel Kuchaø (1751-1829) was a pupil of Josef Seger and then an organist in Prague churches. His style as a composer was definitely influenced by W. A. Mozart, with whom he became friends and collaborated with on the Prague productions of The Marriage of Figaro and Don Giovanni. This is evident not only in his dances for piano and religious vocal-instrumental music, but also in his organ fantasias, preludes, partitas, etc.
