Schumann, Robert: Sketch 3, Op. 58Download
Written for pedal piano, but this is still a rather engaging piece for organ. There are two major sections, each with repeats: one loud in F minor (manuals are coupled), the second softer in Db Major (Swell is separate for expressive solos in the tenor range). As in all four of these sketches, a short reprise of the first part appears at the end. Joseph Hart, Little Waldingfield, Suffolk, England, (1809)

Weckmann, Matthias: Toccata in A minorDownload
Unusually jazzy and improvisatory for the time. Rolling arpeggios, held chords, parallel and arbitrary contrary motion, dotted triplets and ornamentation decorate four major sections: Grave, Moderato, Grave and Allegro. +2dB output volume. 3-stop Harpsichord built by Martin Bezemer Eindhoven, 1981 - Samples by Hauptwerk.nl [3:45] (A=465) HW2>3

    Hayes, Philip: PastoraleDownload
Organ solo from a concerto, which contrasts two stop combinations (8' vs. 8' + 4') on one manual, but could also be played on two. Uses parallel thirds and sixths and organ points, as does the relatively more famous Bach Pastorale. Wet samples, original temperament. Chamber Organ by Daniel Prib, (2007)

Bach, Johann Sebastian: Aus tiefer Noth schrei' ich zu dir, BWV 686Download View Lyrics
The rich 4-part tapestry on the manuals is penetrated by a double canon of the chorale subject, a German chorale whose text is based on Psalm 130, De Profundis ("Out of the Depths").
