- Bach, Johann Sebastian: Prelude and Fugue in D minor, BWV 539
- The Prelude, for manuals alone, is published in a popular wedding album, and so has been heard often. I doubt that many have dealt with the fugue,
which is unusual in that the pedal (just pulled down from one or both manuals) seems to be nearly always present, and the arpeggiated episodes put one
in mind of an Italian concerto. Kirnberger 3 Temperament.

HW3
- Clérambault, Louis-Nicolas: Trio
- The fourth piece of Suite du Premier Ton for organ is marked "Gratieusement" (gracefully). Too high for the conventional 2 manual + Pedal treatment,
entire piece is played on reeds of the two manuals. RH Manuael Trompet 8' + Quint 3' (two voices) ; LH BP Dulciaen 8' + Floit 4'. Temperament
Ordinaire. Score available here.

HW1
- Bach, Johann Sebastian: Wie schön leuchtet der Morgenstern, BWV 739
- For two manuals and pedal, slighty tainted authenticity even though it is in Bach's handwriting (he often copied others' works due, no doubt to the
lack of photocopying machines back then). The instructions for manual changes are in the score, which is not the usual case. Registration: Manuael
Rohrpijp 8' + Octav 4' + Quint 3' + Super Octav 2', Brustpositiff Gedact 8' + Floit 4' + Octav 2' +
Sijfloit 1' + Dulziaen 8', Pedael Bardon 16' + Octav 8' + Cornet 4' (withdrawn for organ point in PD at the end). Kellner
Temperament.

HW3
- Soler, Padré Antonio: Sonata No. 53 "De Clarines"
- The nickname seems to come from the parallel thirds and exaggerated staccatos which would be typical trumpet parts. The repeats were not implemented.

- Boehm, Georg: Capriccio in D-dur
Light hearted fughetta briefly interrupted by scalar passage, virtuosic
transition to a 3/4
version of the same material, a short passage of sextuplet arpeggios in Common
Time merging into a flowing 24/16 version with neighboring tones and octave leaps and ending with an
organ point and cadence. Some lower bass
notes added.

- Bach, Johann Sebastian: Aus tiefer Noth schrei' ich zu dir, BWV 687
- Part of the Small Organ Mass, and therefore meant to be played on one keyboard, this setting of Psalm 130 is quite a bit more cheerful than the big
one for a larger instrument. Registration: Opening Praestant 8' + Principael 4' + Gedact Quint 3' + Octav 2';
Repeat Roerfluit 8' + Praestant 4' + Quintanus 1-1/2';
Ending Praestant 8' + Principael 4' + Gedact Quint 3' + Mixtuur 4 St.

HW3
- Bach, Johann Sebastian: Ach Gott und Herr, BWV 714
- An intriguing double canon at the octave, with that haunting simplicity Bach can impart to four related lines of music. First verse: LH Chorale
on G.O. Vox Humane 8' with Tremblant Douce, RH on Positif Bourrdon 8' + Flutte 4', Pédale Bourdon 16' +
Holpijp 8' (G.O). Second verse: LH Chorale on G.O. Trompet 8', RH on Pos. Bourdon 8' + Prestant 4' + Flutte 4' +
Doublet 2', PD Bourdon 16' + Montre 8' (G.O.). WellTemperament-SeventhComma

Quint 3' + Super Octav 2' + Mixtuir. Ad lib Pedael Bardon 16' + Basuin 16' + Octav 8'. Bradley Lehman Temperament.

HW3
- Bach, Johann Sebastian: Partita on Sei gegrüsset, Jesu gütig, BWV 768
- Chorale and 11 variations. This partita has more sections than the original hymn. Schweitzer suggests that there were two partitas, one for manuals
alone, the other including pedals. The variety of meters and treatments is amazing, even for Bach. Young Temperament.
