- Grigny, Nicolas De: Récit de Tierce pour le Benedictus

Midi File available.

HW1
- Buxtehude, Dietrich: Es ist das Heil, BuxWV 186
- Typical Buxtehude treatment: lightly ornamented improvisatory Chorale (Positiv Hautbois 8' + Bourdon 8' + Nazard 2 2/3' + Tierce 1 3/5')
with two voices on the G.O. (Bourdon 8' + Flûte 4' + Doublette 2') and pedal (Soubasse 8' + Flûte 8' + Prestant 4') keeping up as best it
can. But what a burst of fresh air it would be if you had never heard something like this before. Impulse reverberation added.
[1:55]
HW1
- Sweelinck, Jan Pieterszoon: Variations on Unter der Linden grüne
- Four variations on a secular song. The registrations are playfully varied within to show the flexibility of this delightful instrument. Impulse
reverberation added.
[5:36]
HW1
- Bach, Johann Sebastian: Meine Seele erhebt den Herrn, BWV 648

HW1
- Krebs, Johann Ludwig: Fugue in Am, Br II:17
- Marked "pro Organo Pleno" (for Full Organ"). While it is very recognizable from its first three repeated notes, the fugue subject seldom appears in
this fugue. G.O. Principal Chorus; Pédale Soubasse 16' + Flûte 8' + Prestant 4' coupled to Positiv Bourdon 8'. At end, the G.O. Trompette
8' is added and the Positiv Bourdon 8' is replaced with Hautbois 8'. Impulse reverberation has been added.
[3:51]
HW1
- Bach, Johann Sebastian: Ich ruf' zu dir, Herr Jesu Christ, BWV 639

two Flûtes are dropped for the repeat.

HW1
- Dupré, Marcel: Magnificat I, Opus 18, No. 10
- When I used to play this piece, it was as hard as walking on eggshells, but the result of these intricately overlapping suspensions is as delicate as
a Fabergé egg. Registration: Hauptwerk Bourdon 8' coupled to Positiv Bourdon 8'; Pedal Soubasse 16' coupled to Positiv Bourdon 8'. No reverberation
added.

HW1
- Bach, Johann Sebastian: Wer nur den lieben Gott lässt walten, BWV 647
- This third Schübler chorale is a transcription from the fourth verse of Cantata 93, where Soprano and Alto sing the lilting upper part (Positiv
Bourdon 8') over a basso continuo (G.O. Bourdon 16' + Bourdon 8' [repeat Salicional 8']), violins and violas carry the chorale (Pédale Prestant
4').
[2:31]
HW1
- Franck, César: Allegretto amabile in Ab Major
- Quite agreeable melody in the right hand using stops of the G.O. (Bourdon 16' + Montre 8' + Cornet 5 rgs) against the Positiv (Bourdon 8' + Hautbois
8') in the left hand, with the bottom voice transferred to the Pédale (Soubasse 16' + Flûte 8' + Prestant 4'). Impulse reverberation added.
[1:17]
HW1
- Krebs, Johann Ludwig: Trio in F, Br II:34
- Audacious motive with a turn ornament makes this piece memorable. It is virtually the same as the Trio in Bb (No. 37) with the exception of the
ornament. Registration: RH G.O. Montre 8 + Octave 4, LH Positiv Hautbois 8' + Bourdon 8', Ped Soubasse 16' + Flûte 8' + Prestant 4'. Impulse
reverberation added.
[2:23]
HW1
- Sweelinck, Jan Pieterszoon: Echo Fantasia 3 (Aeolian)
- A rather forthright fugue-like exposition to begin with, regressing to the softer manual for the echo section, back to the louder sound for some
quasi-echo passages, a charming hemiola section and then scalar passages in eighth notes and later sixteenth notes, which alternate between right and
left hands, with the opposite hand holding long chords. Now with even more echos. Registration throughout: G.O. Bourdon 8' + Octave 4'; Positiv
Bourdon 8' + Prestant 4', Impulse reverberation added.
[3:26]
Midi file available.
HW1
- Krebs, Johann Ludwig: Trio in F, Br II:32
- This elegaic trio plays as much on the building acoustics, so impulse reverberation has been added. RH G.O. Cornet 5 Rgs; LH Positiv Bourdon 8' +
Prestant 4' + 2 2/3' Nazard + Doublette 2' + Tierce 1 3/5'; Pédale Soubasse 16' + Flûte 8'
