Virtual organ set from 1698 Starck organ at Monastery Church of Zlata Koruna, Czech Republic - Samples by Jiri Zurek
- Sweelinck, Jan Pieterszoon: Variations on Unter der Linden grüne, [MT]
- Four variations on a secular song in MeanTone temperament.
[6:2]
HW1
- Purcell, Henry: Ground
- The ground bass is an English form comparable to the Passacaglia. A three-measure repeating bass line on the upper keyboard is contrasted with a
second voice that hops between a syncopated motive on the same keyboard and an ornamented melody on the lower keyboard. Originally for harpsichord,
but charming on this particular organ. For the extended sample set.
[2:22]

the original statement at the end. In the companion fugue, the subject alternates with playful episodes that wander off in many directions. Uses the
extended sample set.
[12:16]
