Orgue de salon (1988) Samples by Eric Bricet and Jean Yves Garet
- Walther, Johann Gottfried: Concerto del Signor Albinoni in F
- Three movements: Allegro (cheerful), Andante (pensive), Allegro (rollicking). Occasional lowering by an octave to better simulate an independent
pedal. Impulse reverberation added.
[7:15]
HW1
- Weckmann, Matthias: Praeambulum Primi toni à 5
- Sustained chords interspersed with florid passages and cross-relations as noted in the Mutopia Project score, available here. Impulse reverberation added.
[2:52]
HW1
- Bach, Johann Sebastian: Jesus Christus, unser Heiland (Fuga), BWV 689
- The last movement of the German Organ Mass, this four-voice fugue is to be played
on one manual. Articulation of the Chorale is thus very important so it is clearly
recognizable. Registration: Pos Flûl;te à Cheminée 8' + Flûl;te 2' coupled to G.O. Flûl;te 4'. Impulse reverberation
added.
[3:5]
Midi file available.
HW1
- Bach, Johann Sebastian: Allein Gott in der Höh' sei Ehr', BWV 717
- Gentle dancelike setting of the German Gloria in excelsis for manuals alone. Full G.O. is spelled by full Pos. and then reverts.
[2:55]
Midi file available.
HW1
- Froberger, J. J.: Capriccio III
- Capricious and sectional with a few florid passages. Impulse reverberation added.
[3:56]
HW1
- Bach, Johann Sebastian: Herr Jesu Christ, du höchstes Gut, BWV 1114
- Elegantly decorated Chorale on G.O. (8va lower): Flûte 4' ± Octav 2' with appropriate and sensitive accompaniment on Pos Flûte à
Cheminée 8' ± Flûte 2'. Impulse reverberation added.
[2:42]
HW1
- Gigout, Eugène: Finale La
- Part of a very large collection called the Gregorian Album by a composer more known for massing large bodies of sound, this charming piece from Book
2, marked Allegro non troppo, uses fast and slow arpeggios, descending and ascending stepwise intervals and occasional descending parallel thirds. No
revereberation added.
[1:39]
HW1
- Karg-Elert, Sigfrid: Ringe Recht, wenn Gottes Gnade, Op. 65, No. 32
- A delightful trio with the chorale hidden in the right hand. Ad lib octave transpositions in Pedal. Impulse reverberation added. During the final
chord a partial fade-out was done for esthetic reasons.
[1:21]
HW1
- Franck, César: Poco allegretto in G Major
- Restful, hopeful, sweet. Terrace dynamics used instead of swell shades. Impulse reverberation added.
[1:11]
HW1
- Walther, Johann Gottfried: Preludio con Fuga C-Dur
- Mostly for manuals. Impulse reverberation added.
