HW2>3
- Buxtehude, Dietrich: Wie schön leuchtet der Morgenstern, BuxWV 223
- A pastorale setting of variations on the Epiphany Chorale, "How Brightly Shines the Morning Star," interrupted by occasional florid passages, with
sparing use of pedal. Output volume -6dB. Utilizes original tuning at a lower pitch, but a version using Roetha-BradLehman Temperament is available here.
[7:26] (a=408 Hz)

HW2>3

of us find ourselves in from time to time. Registration: Chorale Melody Orgue Mayor Clairon 8', two voices on Teclat d'Alt Flute 8' + Prestant 4' +
Flute 2' + Nazard 1-1/3', bass voice on Pedal Flute 16' + Montre 8'. For the Prelude the ornamented Chorale uses Flute 8' + Montre 8' + Octava 4

[2:0] (a=408 Hz)
HW2>3
- Krebs, Johann Ludwig: Trio in Dm, Br II:25
- Mostly based on arpeggios, this trio is an attempt to become more familiar with this instrument via MIDI. The Pedal part is sent to the Orgue mayor
(middle keyboard), with occasional emphasis on the 8-note Pedal Contres 16' (permanently coupled to Orgue mayor). RH Teclat d'Alt (top keyboard), LH
Cadireta (bottom keyboard). See screen capture. Original tuning, output
volume -4dB.
[2:41] (a=408 Hz)
HW2>3
- Reger, Max: Aus meines Herzens Grunde, Op. 67, No. 4
- A quasi-fugal introduction in the two Orgue Mayor voices and Pedal (based on the Chorale) in eighth notes gives way to faster notes and syncopations
while the Chorale sounds sturdily in half notes on the Teclat d'Alt Dessus de Trompa + Dessus de Cornet (repeated on Cromorn 8').
[2:7] (a=408 Hz)
HW2>3

[5:59]
HW2>3
- Bennett, John: Adagio
- Part of a voluntary, this piece features chains of suspensions, a lovely duet between the upper two voices, some chromaticism and a grand ritard, a
pleasing piece for learning legato control. Orgue Major: Flautat doble + Flautat de cara + Octava + Octava de cara (b&d). Original tuning
[2:21] (a=408 Hz)
HW2>3
- Bach, Johann Sebastian: Alle Menschen müssen sterben, BWV 643

Pedal Flute 16' + Montre 8' + Octava 4'. Repeat O.M.. Flute 8' + Flute 4' + Dessus de Cornet, Teclat d'Alt Flute 8' Bourdon 4' + Nazard 1-1/3'. Pedal
omit Octava 4'. For the prelude the Chorale is sounded on the Trompa 8' with Teclat d'Alt Flute 8' + Prestant 4' + Fourniture. The repeat uses the

[2:28] (a=408 Hz)
HW2>3
- Bach, Johann Sebastian: Ach Gott und Herr, BWV 692
- The text has a rather contemporary sounding angst, though the desperate predicament described therein is belied by the music. Ornamented Chorale on
Teclat d'Alt Dessus de Trompa + Dessus de Cornet; other two voices on Orgue Mayor Flute 8' + Flute 4' + Octava 2' + Nazard 1-1/3'. +4dB output volume.

HW2>3
- Bach, Johann Sebastian: Mit Fried' und Freud' ich fahr' dahin, BWV 616
- A perfect expression of the Nunc Dimittis, part of Das Orgelbüchlein (aka The Liturgical Year). Known in the Anglican liturgy as The Song of Simeon,
the text has a bit of the German Pietism which contrasts the travails of everyday life with the tranquility of death. ChoraleTeclat d'Alt Flute 8' +
