The organ in the church of Krewerd in the province of Groningen Holland (1531) - Samples by Hauptwerk.nl
- Walther, Johann Gottfried: Ein' feste Burg ist unser Gott (II)
- A smaller reworking of the same materials used in version 1, without a pedal sounding of the Cantus Firmus. Registration: Beginning - Prestant 8'
+ Octaaf 4' + Octaaf 2';
Repeat - Holpyp 8' + Fluyt 4' + Quint 3';
Ending - Prestant 8' + Octaaf 4' + Octaaf 2' + Quint 3'.
[1:51] (KrewardOriginal: 1/4-comma meantone, nearly a whole tone above normal )
HW2>3
- Froberger, J. J.: Canzona VI
- Divided in three sections, the first in common meter has a businesslike melody with a chord outline as its basis, it enters a 12/8 section via a
florid passage but the chord outline is still recognizable, and reverts to common meter and some fairly odd harmonies ending this set of six canzonas
with a measured trill. Registration by section: 1) Prestant 8' + Fluyt 4'; 2) Holpyp 8' + Octaaf 4' + Octaaf 2'; 3) Full organ. As you
can hear, F minor is not the best key for 1/4-comma meantone, so an alternate Virtual Performance in Roertha-LehmamnBach temperament can be heard here.
[2:58] (KrewardOriginal: 1/4-comma meantone, nearly a whole tone above normal )
HW2>3
- Pachelbel, Johann: Vater Unser im Himmelreich

slow-sounding Chorale in the Pedal (Prestant 8' + Octaaf 4' + Quint 3'). -2dB outputvolume, Kirnberger 3 Temperament. Uses extended version.

volume.
[3:1]
HW2>3
- Scheidt, Samuel: Ich ruf' zu dir, Herr Jesu Christ
- Fantasia which develops each phrase of the chorale in imitative counterpoint, then (usually) states that phrase slowly in one or more parts. These
techniques were used by a composer born nearly 100 years before J. S. Bach, illustrating the German chorale foundation which underlies the latter's
work. Extended 2 manual + pedal version.
[8:43] (KrewardOriginal: 1/4-comma meantone, nearly a whole tone above normal )
HW2>3
- Reger, Max: Aus tiefer Not schrei ich zu dir, Op. 135a, No. 4
- Beautiful, spare, almost mediaeval sounding responsorial setting alternating between cantor (Man. 1 Prestant) and choir (Man. 2 Holpyp 8' [+Fluyt 4'],
Pedaal Prestant 8' or Fluyt 8'). The mechanical sounds of stop changes add to the surreal effect. Well-Temperament-Kellner
[2:11]

- Zachau, Friedrich Wilhelm: An Wasserflüssen Babylon
- Four part manualiter setting using the original Krewerd tuning.
Prestant 8' + Holpyp 8' + Fluyt 4' + Tremulant. -4dB output volume.
[1:25] (KrewardOriginal: 1/4-comma meantone, nearly a whole tone above normal )
HW2>3
- Strungk, Delphin: Meine Seele erhebet den Herrn
- Elegant sparsity of materials. Registration:
Man I: Holpyp 8' + Octaav 2';
Man. II: Holpyp 8 + Fluyt 4';

[2:5] (KrewardOriginal: 1/4-comma meantone, nearly a whole tone above normal )
