The toccata explores a great number of note values in improvisatory flashes between the somewhat sad primary theme. The fugue subject is easily recognizable with its mordent and syncopation, though the long trill disappears even before the opening exposition is over. Nice music for a rainy Lenten afternoon. Instrument: Carl Schäfer Organ in Neckarsulm (1895) Extended Set - Samples by Gernot Wurst
