This transcription, the fourth Schübler Chorale, is from the 5th movement of Cantata 10, a duet for Tenor and Alto. It is a setting of the Magnificat
(St. Luke 1:46-47). Registration: Hauptwerk: Qvintadena 8' (pedal part played on this manual also); Hinterwerk: Gedacktes 8' + Nassat 3' + Terzia 2';
for second half the Spizfleute 4' is added to the Hauptwerk and the Rohrfleute 4' is added to the Hinterwerk; the closing is on Qvintadena 8' alone.

Meine Seele erhebet den Herrn, und mein Geist freuet sich Gottes meines Heilands.
Er denket der Barmhertzigkeit, und hilft seinem Diener Israel auf.

My soul doth magnify the Lord, and my Spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.
He hath holpen his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy.
