- Toccata in D minor, BuxWV 155
[7:4] (A=465)
Surprisingly abrupt and unusual harmonically, the
Toccata has multiple sections using the Principal
Chorus on the Hauptwerk against the full pedal,
with and without the Mixture, Pedal Posaune and
Hauptwerk to Pedal coupler. A short section in the
middle retreats to the Hinterwerk Gedacktes 8 +
Rohrfleute 4 + Octava 2 + Zimbeln 2 Fach +
Suffleute 1, and the manuals are coupled near the
unusual conclusion which consists of slow triplets over an organ point in the pedal.
