- Was Gott tut, das ist wohlgetan, Op. 135a, No. 26
[1:0]
This setting is so homophonic that it could be played on one manual with registration changes depicting each of three manuals. Would make an excellent
introduction to a congregational hymn for the diligent organist. Man. I: Principal 8' + Octave 4' + Progressio Harmonica 2-3 Fach, coupled to Full
Pedal; Man. II (the first sound you hear): Principal 8' + Octave 4' with uncoupled Full Pedal; Man. III: Gedact 8' + Principal 8' with Pedal Subbass
16' + Gedactbass 8'. At the end, Full Organ is used.

German:
Was Gott tut, das ist wohlgetan,
Es bleibt gerecht sein Wille;
Wie er fängt meine Sachen an,
Will ich ihm halten stille.
Er ist mein Gott,
Der in der Not
Mich wohl weiß zu erhalten;
Drum laß ich ihn nur walten.
English:
What God doth, that is rightly done,
His will is just forever;
Whatever course he sets my life,
I will trust him with calmness.
He is my God,
Who in distress
Knows well how to support me;
So I yield him all power.
