Fugue No. 7 Click to Listen, [2:59]
Almost melancholy fugue subject, beautifully woven in a 4-voice fabric, mostly for keyboard alone (Hauptwerk Principal 8' + Salicional 8' with Hinterwerk Copel Major 8' + Qvintadena 4' coupled down). For the final stretto, the Octave 4' is added to the Hauptwerk and the Principal 2' is added to the Rüpositiv. The 5-measure organ point at the end uses Pedal Subbas 16' + Octave Bas 8' + II/Pedal coupler. Close miking. Instrument: Renaissance Organ (ca. 1587) in gothic church in Smecno, Czech Republic - Samples by Jiri Zurek
