In 12/8 meter, with the chorale in the tenor on the Hinterwerk at first (Geigen Principal 8' + Flauto Amabile 8' + Flauto Amabile 4') accompanied by
Hauptwerk Gedact 8' and Pedal Subbass 16' + Gedactbass 8'. Hands are switched and only the Hinterwerk Flauto Amabile 8' remains for the repeat,
allowing the Gedact to soar out on the chorale, in a subtle way. At the second ending the first registration returns.
