Werde munter mein Gemüte,
Und ihr Sinne geht herfür,
Daß ihr preiset Gottes Güte,
Die er hat getan an mir,
Da er mich den ganzen Tag
Vor so mancher Sorg und Plag,
hat erhalten und beschützet,
dass mich Satan nicht beschmützet.
English:
Wake up, my mind,
and come forth you senses,
so you praise God's goodness
which he has accomplished for me,
for he has supported and protected me
the entire day from many worries and distresses,
so that Satan doesn't defile me.
