Jolly and witty and harmonically daring sectional prelude in an unusual key. Though played on 1 manual and pedal, the Hauptwerk (lower pitches) is
always coupled to the Pedal and the Hinterwerk (which provides color and brightness) is always coupled to the Hauptwerk.
