Prelude and Fugue in G Major, BWV 541 Click to Listen, [7:55] (A=465)
A cheerful and engaging pair, this Prelude and Fugue is rated G for General Audiences. I think the stretto (a technique where the fugue subject in a new voice begins before the old one ends, similar to a Round) at the end of the fugue is especially thrilling. Instrument: Gottfried Silbermann Organ, St. Georgenkirche - Rötha, Germany (1721) - Samples by Brett Milan
