The gentle prelude in 12/8 meter is followed by a chromatic fugue in Common Meter. The unusual key sounds only slightly edgy in Mean Tone Modified
Sixth Comma, but it represents the worst case for Mean Tone Fifth Comma (an excerpt can be heard here). No reverberation added. For even less edge, listen to the opening in Bradley Lehman temperament.
