- Toccata in D minor, BuxWV 155
[8:14] (Kirnberger II mod. , f(A3)=468 Hz)
Surprisingly abrupt and unusual harmonically, the Toccata has multiple sections using the Hauptwerk against the pedal. A short section in the middle
retreats to the Positiv with the Hauptwerk brightening the Pedal, and the manuals are coupled near the unusual conclusion which consists of slow
triplets over a pedal point. Two short pedal passages were transposed down an octave to accommodate the shorter compass of the pedalboard.
