- Praeludium und Fuge in C dur
[4:21] (A=465)
Prelude (Hinterwerk Gedacktes 8' + Octava 2' + Suffleute 1' coupled to HW Principal 8' + Octava 4' + Qvinta 3' + Octava 2' coupled to PD Posaunen Bass
16' + Octaven Bass 8): brilliant Pedal solo followed by arpeggiation and strong rhythmic chords an octave apart in the manual, short organ point in
the pedal near end. Lighter registration for the cheerful 4-voice Fugue (Hinterwerk Gedacktes 8' + Octava 2' + Qvinta 1 1/2' coupled to HW
Rohrfleute 8' + Qvintadena 8' + Octava 4' coupled to PD Subbass 16'). At the end there are organ points in the Pedal (Subbass 16' + Posaunen Bass 16'
+ Octaven Bass 8') and Buxtehudean flourishes in the manual (Hinterwerk Octava 2' + Suffleute 1' + Zymbeln 2 Fach coupled to HW Principal 8' +
Octava 4' + Octava 2' + Mixtur 4&Fach), then a rather short cadence. Based on the MIDI score and interpretation thoughtfully provided by Boris
Mudrinic.
