- Sonatina to Cantata No. 106, BWV 106a
[2:0]
Adaptation of Acts 17:28; Subtitled Actus Tragicus (used at funerals). Though the transcription was made from a piano score, the striking
interaction of the two flutes in the orchestra was emulated in a way that a single performer would find impossible to play. Registration: G.O. (first
flute): Bourdon 8'; Pos (second flute and accompaniment) Flûte à Cheminée 8'; Both manuals coupled to Pedal, which is usually
played an octave lower to simulate 16'. Impulse reverberation added. Screen capture showing registration here.

German:
Gottes Zeit ist die allerbeste Zeit.
In ihm leben, weben und sind wir, solange er will.
In ihm sterben wir zur rechten Zeit, wenn er will.
English:
God's own time is the very best of times.
In him living, moving, we exist, as long as he wills.
In him shall we die at the right time, when he wills.
