Prelude and Fugue in D minor, BWV 539 Click to Listen [6:44]
The Prelude, for manuals alone, is published in a popular wedding album, and so has been heard often. I doubt that many have dealt with the fugue, which is unusual in that the pedal (just pulled down from one or both manuals) seems to be nearly always present, and the arpeggiated episodes put one in mind of an Italian concerto. Impulse reverberation added. Midi File available. Instrument: Orgue de salon (1988) - Samples by Eric Bricet and Jean Yves Garet

Audio track was created with Hauptwerk v. 1 software
