The fugue subject stylizes the trumpeting of the shepherd's horn and is based on the melodies of several carols. An echo is incorporated into the
fugue subject whenever feasible. In real life this could get a little dicey, perhaps a second player might be needed and some colored pencils. Impulse
reverberation added.
