The very first prelude in the Liturgical Year. A brief and heartfelt setting of the Advent hymn, preceded by the Chorale on which it is based.
Demonstrates the Melody and Bass couplers, which couple the top and bottom notes of a four-part Chorale to the Swell and Pedal, respectively.
