Two-measure theme regularly enters each voice in fugal manner (Bordun 8' + Floete 4' + Prinzipal 2' + Quint 1-1/3'), then the meter switches to 3/4
(during which the Quint is withdrawn) and a theme derived from the first takes over. The crisp articulation contributes to the joy.
