The Fantasia, with its percussive rolled chords and bold pedal part, was written for three manuals but adapted to two using general combinations. A
slight correction was made in Ms. 4-5, The fugue subject is quaintly off kilter rhythmically and recognizable from its use of the turn, a seldom used
baroque ornament.
