Fugue in C minor, BWV 575 Click to Listen [4:28] (a=466 Hz)
This is an extremely playful early fugue of Bach. The subject is hesitant to proceed, but when all four measures are through, you pretty well know it is a fugue subject. The adagio at the end just continues the surprises. Since this is registered for one manual and pedal, all multiple samples were loaded. Those curious about the differences (single main loop) can compare here. Werckmeister 3 Temperament. Registration: Hoofdwerk Prestant 8' + Octaaf 4 + Quint 3 + Octaaf 2 + Mixtuur 4-6 sterck. Trompet 8' is added much later when Pedaal Bourdon 16' + Prestant 8' + Trompet 8' come in. Pedal cadenza at end adds Bazuin 16' + Octaaf 4' + Mixtuur 4-6 sterck + Cornet 2'. Instrument: The Hinsz-Organ at Leens in the province of Groningen (1733/34) - Samples by Hauptwerk.nl
