Thought to be by Johann Tobias Krebs (1690-1762), the Eight Short Preludes and Fugues are nevertheless the first baroque organ music presented to many beginning organ students. Prelude consists of two very similar sections, Hoofdwerk and Pedaal repeated on the Rugwerk with reduced Pedaal. The two manuals are coupled with mixture added to Hoofdwerk and Pedaal for the Fugue.
