Canzona in C Major, BuxWV 166 Click to Listen [5:0] (A=465)
In three sections. The first (Lower Combination Pleno, Upper 8') in common meter resembles a fughetta but changes texture to a striking repeated chord pattern, ending with a decorative flourish. The second section, in a lilting 6/8 meter, is played on the Upper keyboard, Near the end a quasi-pedal guides the merriment to a suspenseful 3rd inversion 7th chord. The transition (Lower 8' + Upper 8') and third section are played on the Lower keyboard (Upper 8' coupled to Lower 8' + 4') with quasi Pedal at the end. Instrument: Cembalo Mietke built by Jan Becicka workshop (2005) - Samples by Jiri Zurek
