Praeludium in G Major, BuxWV 147 Click to Listen [3:30]
The score indicates the left hand for what would in similar pieces be a pedal cadenza followed by an organ point. A light-hearted short section follows, ending with rapid eccentric scalar flourishes. The meat of the piece is a four-voice fughetta that brings to mind J. S. Bach's St. Anne Fugue, but it ends with characteristic Buxtehude figuration and a final soprano flourish. Score provided by Boris Mudrinic. Temperament: Young. Instrument: The van Peteghem-organ of Haringe, Flandres (1778) - Samples by Hauptwerk.nl
