Komm, Gott, Schöpfer, heiliger Geist, BWV 667 Click to Listen [2:22]
A setting of Martin Luther's version of the Veni Creator Spiritus: a hymn to the creative aspect of the Holy Spirit. The first verse is identical to the setting (BWV 631) found in Das Orgelbüchlein, with an offbeat pedal obbligato (Manuael Quintadena 16' + Principael 8' + Octav 4' + Super Octav 2' + Mixtuir + Trompet 8', Pedal Basuin 16' + Octav 8'). The second verse is a soaring fantasy in the manuals (Borstpositiff Gedackt 8' + Floit 4' + Octav 2' + Scherp coupled to Manuael) over a solid sounding of the Chorale in the pedal (Bardon 16' + Cornet 4' added). Organ-Gabler Temperament. Midi File available. Instrument: The Great organ of the Magnuskerk, Anloo, The Netherlands (1719) - Samples by Gernot Wurst

History never repeats itself, but it does some interesting variations on old themes. Brother, can you spare a fiver? it will help me to continue offering music for your enjoyment.

besuch das Herz der Menschen dein;

Come, O Creator, Spirit blest!
